Student Fellows spend eight to ten weeks at LSC-funded civil legal aid organizations\u00a0developing valuable skills and\u00a0gaining hands-on experience by:<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul class=\"kvgmc6g5 cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x jb3vyjys rz4wbd8a qt6c0cv9 a8nywdso\" data-offset-key=\"59rom-0-0\">\n<li class=\"bi6gxh9e aov4n071 lfifhrf7 _3kpz _3kq0 _3kq1 _3kq6\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"feaha\" data-offset-key=\"59rom-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"59rom-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"59rom-0-0\">providing direct legal services such as client and witness interviews, legal research,\u00a0and writing<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"bi6gxh9e aov4n071 lfifhrf7 _3kpz _3kq1 _3kq6\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"feaha\" data-offset-key=\"46ep2-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"46ep2-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"46ep2-0-0\">engaging in community outreach and education including fact sheet distribution, strategic partnership development, and presentations<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"bi6gxh9e aov4n071 lfifhrf7 _3kpz _3kq1 _3kq6\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"feaha\" data-offset-key=\"atse-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"atse-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"atse-0-0\">building capacity at their host organization through resource development and training sessions<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"feaha\" data-offset-key=\"d64b1-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"d64b1-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"d64b1-0-0\">Student Fellows tackle\u00a0a number of\u00a0results-driven community projects\u00a0including responding to disaster-related legal issues; addressing affordable housing and evictions; and providing legal aid to victims of domestic violence.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"feaha\" data-offset-key=\"2erll-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"2erll-0-0\"><em><strong>The application for the 2022 Rural Summer Legal Corps is now open!
