World Without Genocide will host an online program in April. \u201cRecovering a Lost Nazi Diary\u201d will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 7:00-9:00 pm CT. Register by 6:00 pm on April 20 at WorldWithoutGenocide.org\/wittman<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Robert Wittman, FBI agent, and art crime detective, will describe the global search for the diary of Alfred Rosenberg, \u2018the man who made Hitler into Hitler.\u2019\u00a0 Rosenberg was the main author of Nazi racial theory<\/a> <\/span><\/span>and campaigns to persecute Jews<\/a><\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 After the war, he was prosecuted at the 1946 Nuremberg trials.\u00a0 He was convicted of crimes against humanity, sentenced to death, and hanged.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rosenberg\u2019s detailed diary was used during the Nuremberg trials as evidence of his crimes, and then it went missing for more than 50 years. Wittman learned about the diary in 2001 and spent a decade hunting for it. The diary is now the property of the\u202fU.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum<\/a> i<\/span><\/span>n Washington.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Wittman will describe the contents of the diary, insight into the Nazi rise to power, the decision to exterminate Europe\u2019s Jews, the Nazi ideology of hate and violence, and the successful search.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The program is open to the public:\u00a0 $10 general public, $5 for students and seniors, $25 for Minnesota lawyers for 2 \u2018elimination of bias\u2019<\/span><\/span> CLE credits, and free to Mitchell Hamline law students.\u00a0 Clock hours for teachers, nurses, and social workers.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
