Registration for Mitchell Hamline Law Review Vol. 49 Write-On Process is closing this week! If you have not yet registered, we encourage you to do so on our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1VvGjpwXy4JQYqPVjqS3z9qgGlKlLWGat0tTSqYSmggg\/viewform?edit_requested=true\">online application<\/a>. <strong>The application closes<\/strong> <strong>May 12, 11:59pm CST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WRITE-ON PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Write-On Process takes place after finals, and over the course of three weeks: from May 16 \u2013 June 5, 2022. Applicants will complete a Bluebook quiz and write a case note (an analysis of a recent Minnesota Supreme Court decision). The Bluebook quiz will be distributed at 8:00 a.m CST on May 16 and will be due at 11:59 p.m. CST on May 22. The case note portion will begin on May 23 at 8:00 a.m. CST. Case note materials will be distributed at that time. Case notes are due on June 5 at 11:59 p.m. CST. All grading will be anonymous. If you missed the\u00a0<strong>How to Write a Case Note with Professor Knapp<\/strong>, view the recording\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KKuTyLs3yHI&amp;ab_channel=Mitchell-HamlineLawReview\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A LAW REVIEW ASSOCIATE?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Associates conduct authority checks, check citations, and make grammatical edits on assigned articles. Additionally, all Associates write a long paper during their time on law review, which satisfies the long paper requirement for graduation. MHLR publishes several student long papers every volume.<\/p>\n<p>For their services, Associates earn 3 pass\/fail academic credits for the school year. These credits can be applied in Fall, J-term, or Spring semesters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHY JOIN LAW REVIEW?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Associates gain significant experience and exposure to legal writing and citation.
