Bergin Award for Excellence in Writing recognizes superior student writing on unsettled questions in tax law or policy. The 2022 submission period is open until <strong>June 30, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Students that have graduated in May 2022 are eligible to submit an article. Students can submit their papers here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxnotes.com\/article-submissions\/student\">https:\/\/www.taxnotes.com\/article-submissions\/student<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong> Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program during the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Topic:<\/strong> Submissions should focus on an unsettled question in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxnotes.com\/tax-notes-today-federal\">federal<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxnotes.com\/tax-notes-today-state\">state<\/a>, or international tax\u00a0law or policy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evaluation:<\/strong> Our editorial staff blindly evaluates entries on originality, readability, organization, reasoning, and overall quality of content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Full competition guidelines can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxnotes.com\/awards\/for-students\/competition-guidelines\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The winning article will be published in all three of our <em>Tax Notes <\/em>magazines and the winner will receive a 12-month subscription to <em>Tax Notes<\/em>\u2019 daily and weekly products.
