{"id":46889,"date":"2022-09-02T17:04:13","date_gmt":"2022-09-02T22:04:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/students\/?p=46889"},"modified":"2022-09-02T17:04:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-02T22:04:13","slug":"diversity-fellowship-to-the-university-of-texas-school-of-laws-nonprofit-organizations-institute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/students\/2022\/09\/02\/diversity-fellowship-to-the-university-of-texas-school-of-laws-nonprofit-organizations-institute\/","title":{"rendered":"Diversity Fellowship to the University of Texas School of Law&#8217;s Nonprofit Organizations Institute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With funding from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and Arnold Ventures, this is our second annual <a href=\"https:\/\/pages.e2ma.net\/pages\/1802609\/29960\"><strong>Diversity Fellowship to The University of Texas School of Law\u2019s Nonprofit Organizations Institute<\/strong><\/a>. <strong>The application is open\u2014with a deadline of October 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This fellowship program was created to encourage diversity and participation in the tax-exempt organizations practice of law by introducing 1st, 2nd and 3rd year law students to the practice area, providing opportunities for mentorship, and creating a network of law students interested in pursuing the practice.\u00a0Many students do not even realize that this is a specific area of practice to pursue.<\/p>\n<p>A single-year fellowship will be awarded to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>up to ten recipients<\/strong>\u00a0that allows for\u00a0<strong>in-person attendance to The University of Texas School of Law\u2019s 40th Annual Nonprofit Organizations Institute on January 18-20, 2023 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, TX.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The Institute is a continuing legal and professional education conference that brings together nationally recognized experts from private foundations, public charities, law, finance, and government to discuss the latest tax, legislative and governance issues affecting nonprofit organizations.\u00a0(For reference, see our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utcle.org\/conferences\/NO22\/brochure\/\">PRIOR year\u2019s conference brochure<\/a>, including full agenda and conference faculty.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pages.e2ma.net\/pages\/1802609\/29960\"><strong>Fellowship Details, Selection Criteria and Application Requirements (and link to the application) can be found here.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Again, because of the timing of the January conference, the application window is tight \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/pages.e2ma.net\/pages\/1802609\/29960\"><strong>applications are due by October 15<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><\/a>.
