LGBTQ+ Health: Law, Policy, and Advocacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Health Law Institute is introducing a new course this upcoming J-term titled <strong>LGBTQ+ Health: Law, Policy, and Advocacy<\/strong>, that will be taught by our new adjunct professor Phil Duran. He currently works as the Senior Advocate for Aging &amp; Gender Care Access at <a href=\"https:\/\/rainbowhealth.org\/\">Rainbow Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Description:<\/strong> This course will introduce students to historical and current concepts underpinning LGBTQ health policy; a broad range of issues and settings where these concepts play out in the real world; a range of tools available for individual and systemic advocacy; and personal, professional, and strategic considerations informing effective advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Duran hopes that &#8220;this course will introduce students to historical and current concepts underpinning LGBTQ health policy; a broad range of issues and settings where these concepts play out in the real world; a range of tools available for individual and systemic advocacy; and personal, professional, and strategic considerations informing effective advocacy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It will be available to students in their 2L year and above, and is a 1-credit asynchronous course.
