TCDIP will be hosting another webinar session on January 5 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Central for students to hear directly from TCDIP staff and 1L Clerkship alumni about <\/strong>the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice Summer 2023\u00a0TCDIP 1L Clerkship Program<\/a>!<\/strong>\u00a0Recent alumni and practicing attorneys who have participated in the TCDIP 1L Clerkship program will be available to answer your questions about the program and what it\u2019s like to practice law in the Twin Cities. This program will be recorded. Register<\/a> in order to receive the recording.\u00a0\u00a0You can also check out the recording<\/a> from the previous webinar on November 18! Applications are open for\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

For over a decade, the TCDIP 1L Clerkship has helped launch the careers of law students of color in the Twin Cities. TCDIP strengthens the legal talent pipeline with strategic partnerships between TCDIP Members from law firms and corporate legal departments. Through the TCDIP 1L Clerkship program, 1L students of color have the opportunity to work at a law firm and a corporate legal department during the summer.\u00a0The TCDIP 1L Clerkship program was created to promote the Twin Cities legal community to 1L students of color from Minnesota and across the country. Law students from racial and ethnic groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

This year TCDIP will have\u00a0paid<\/strong> positions for over 45 1L students. Applications are open<\/a> through January 15!\u00a0<\/strong>When you visit the website, you will find information from each firm indicating the materials required to apply, as well as instructions on how to apply. You are encouraged to read all instructions for each firm closely, and to read the full posting from each firm to understand more about what the individual firm is seeking in their candidates. There is a general deadline of January 15<\/strong><\/span>, but some firms do have individual deadlines prior to January 15 as well. Most firms review applications on a rolling basis<\/span>; students are encouraged to apply early!<\/strong><\/p>\n
