Our goal is to provide our interns (law clerks) with a better understanding of the FDIC\u2019s role in our financial system while providing an opportunity for public service. Within one section of the Legal Division, law clerks are assigned to a variety of duties and projects that will provide significant legal experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">As an FDIC law clerk, you will contribute to maintaining confidence in our nation\u2019s financial system and learn financial institutions regulatory law from the inside out. In addition, you may be exposed to areas of law atypical to most government practice that will serve you well wherever your career takes you.<\/p>\n<p>The FDIC Legal Division will be posting a 2023 Legal Division Summer Intern\u00a0Vacancy Announcement for positions at\u00a0Headquarters in Washington, DC, and the\u00a0Atlanta, GA\u00a0and\u00a0San Francisco, CA\u00a0regional offices early next week (link to follow), with application deadline of\u00a0mid-February.\u00a0<u>These are paid positions<\/u>, not for school credit. It is a unique opportunity for outstanding students in their final year of law school, new law school graduates in a post-graduate program, and recently graduated judicial clerks to learn and work in support of the FDIC\u2019s mission of maintaining stability and public confidence in the nation\u2019s financial system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Honors Attorneys are assigned to a wide variety of projects throughout the Legal Division that provide extensive and diverse legal experience in an inclusive work environment, which recognizes and appreciates all employees\u2019 perspectives and talents. The FDIC is committed to providing personal and professional growth opportunities.
