Mitchell Hamline Law Review, Vol. 50"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>WHAT IS LAW REVIEW?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mitchell Hamline Law Review<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is composed of articles written by students, professors, and practitioners discussing relevant legal topics. This publication is entirely student managed. The journal is published and distributed to practitioners and is available on Westlaw, Lexis, and the <em>Mitchell Hamline Law Review<\/em> website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>HOW DO I APPLY FOR LAW REVIEW?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students can apply for Law Review by participating in and completing the Write-On Process. Full-time 1L students and Part-time 1L\/2L students are invited to apply. <strong>You can sign up by filling out this <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/8HsVG5TDcPPaeYSn8\">registration form<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>.<\/strong> Registration closes Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. CST.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>WHEN IS WRITE-ON?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Write-On Process takes place after finals, and over the course of three weeks: from May 22 \u2013 June 11, 2023. Applicants will complete a Bluebook quiz and write a case note (an analysis of a recent Minnesota Supreme Court decision). The Bluebook quiz will be distributed at 8:00 a.m. CST on Monday, May 22 and will be due at 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, May 28. The case note portion will begin on Monday, May 29 at 8:00 a.m. CST. Case note materials will be distributed at that time. Case notes are due on Sunday, June 11 at 11:59 p.m. CST. All grading will be anonymous. Successful applicants will be notified in early July, prior to OCI interviews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>HOW DO I GET MORE INFORMATION?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend our write-on information session, which will be hosted via Zoom:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Date:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Wednesday, April 19, 2023<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Time:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> 6:00 p.m. CST<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Zoom link: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.zoom.us\/j\/97072378717\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What to Expect During the Write-On Process Zoom Link<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Details:<\/b> This session will cover write-on basics including procedures, specific requirements, and deadlines. Volume 50 board members will share their write-on tips. This is also an opportunity to ask general questions about law review.
