The SBA Ways and Means committee had monies left over to distribute and came back and funded us for our full ask of childcare funding.\u00a0 We now have around $6,000 to distribute.\u00a0 \u00a0After all applications are received by the financial aid office on February 1, and PALS has verified that applicants are members in good standing — we will approve as many members as possible for up to $300 in caretaking funds.\u00a0 If additional money is remaining after all application amounts are approved – the remaining funds be distributed and divided equally among applicants.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Parents And Caregivers<\/span>\u00a0Attending Law School is approved for additional funds from the SBA for members’ caretaking expenses.\u00a0 The funds will be distributed the same way they were during the fall semester.\u00a0 Members are eligible for up to $300 in funds. \u00a0In the fall we could distribute the full amount requested to everyone who applied.\u00a0 However, since our funding amount is lower this time, we may only be able to approve partial requests so that as many students as possible can receive assistance.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/span>The application is<\/span><\/span>\u00a0NOW LIVE\u00a0<\/strong>here:\u00a0PALS Childcare and Caretaking Fund Application | Dean of Students (mitchellhamline.edu)<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span>The application deadline<\/span>\u00a0for Spring Semester is February 1, 2023.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/span>In order to<\/span>\u00a0qualify, students must:<\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Note: Receipts are<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0not required but may be requested from financial aid. Childcare and caretaking funds will be included in a student\u2019s estimated financial assistance.
