No knowledge of the particular area of law necessary, only your interest.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 All teams are open to all students (BL\/BAM) who have completed their first year of law school.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Each team will have two or three student slots available.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 MHSL pays for travel and lodging to competition for students as well as all registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Students register for the competition in the spring semester for 2 credits P\/F. Students will need to log their hours in Agresso at 45 hours per credit. \u00b7 Specific details below or View Competitions Page<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Watch Campus Connect for more announcements about tryouts for other moot courts and mock trials later this fall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interested in Environmental Law? Tryout for the Pace Environmental Moot Court<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application: Open now. Please provide a writing sample 48 hours before the scheduled interview. The interview will consist of a 10-minute short oral argument based on the submitted writing sample.<\/p>\n<p>Interviews: 09\/14\/2024 &#8211; 09\/28\/2024 Time: Email Coach Alexandra Zabinski (alz@mccollumlaw.com) to arrange an interview date. More info about competition: Pace Environmental Moot Court<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interested in Constitutional Law? Try out for the Ulvaldo Herraro Moot Court<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Herrera Moot Court typically addresses a Constitutional Law question pending before the U.S. Supreme Court. The moot court competition problem is released in November and the competition will take place March 19-21, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Students will write their brief in December\/January and can expect the opportunity to participate in 15 oral argument practice sessions between January-March to prepare for the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Application: Cover letter indicating why you are interested in participating; resume; writing Sample (minimum 5 pages). Submit to Herrera coach, Esteban A. Rivera (esteban@riveralawllc.com) before October 25, 2024. Oral argument tryouts will take place the week of October 29.
