Competition Team Tryouts Open<\/p>\n
Applications are open for four of MHSL\u2019s competition teams: Pace (Environmental Law); Ulvado Herrera (Constitutional Law); mock trial (AAJ & TYLA) & McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court (Constitutional Law).<\/strong><\/p>\n General Information for all competitions<\/p>\n \u00b7 Improve your written and oral advocacy. No knowledge of the particular area of law necessary, only your interest.<\/p>\n \u00b7 All teams are open to all students (BL\/BAM) who have completed their first year of law school.<\/p>\n \u00b7 Each team will have two or three student slots available.<\/p>\n \u00b7 MHSL pays for travel and lodging to competition for students as well as all registration fees.<\/p>\n \u00b7 Students register for the competition in the spring semester for 2 credits P\/F. Try out for the Ulvaldo Herraro Moot Court<\/strong><\/p>\n The Herrera Moot Court typically addresses a Constitutional Law question pending before the U.S. Supreme Court. The moot court competition problem is released in November and the competition will take place March 19-21, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Students will write their brief in December\/January and can expect the opportunity to participate in 15 oral argument practice sessions between January-March to prepare for the competition.<\/p>\n Application: Cover letter indicating why you are interested in participating; resume; writing Sample (minimum 5 pages).
