Our license with Microsoft\u00a0allows for home use of Office (including PowerPoint) by full time\u00a0employees. Copies are available in the Human Resources Office.<\/p>\n<h4>Conferencing Solutions<\/h4>\n<p>If you want to bring in a guest speaker, or need to miss class, certain classrooms are equipped with speakerphones so that you can communicate with to your students live.<\/p>\n<h4>Web Conferencing<\/h4>\n<p>Our suggested platform, Adobe Connect, allows you to conduct\u00a0your class from anywhere in real time. Students hear your voice, and see\u00a0your teaching materials on their computer screen.<\/p>\n<p>Students raise their hands (virtually) and submit\u00a0questions via instant message chat. Webcams optional.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"twoColumn\">\n<h4>CALI Lessons<\/h4>\n<p>Mitchell Hamline School of Law is a member of CALI, Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction. CALI is a consortium that offers more than 800 interactive lessons in 30 areas of legal education. These lessons are useful as study aids, practice exams, or class exercises. Lessons can be run from the CALI Web site OR downloaded to your own computer. As a CALI member we are also encouraged to use\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.cali.org\/caliauthor\">CALI Author\u00a0<\/a>to create CALI Lessons. We have access to Medianotes &#8211; a video annotating software,<a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.cali.org\/classcaster\">\u00a0Classcaster<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; a blogging and podcasting software,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cali.org\/content\/cali-instapoll\">Instapoll<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; a polling software and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cali.org\/content\/elangdell-stimulus\">eLangdell project\u00a0<\/a>&#8211; an e-book project.<\/p>\n<p>To access CALI&#8217;s materials you need to create your own account at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cali.org\">CALI Web site<\/a>, with your personal password. However, before you can create your account, you will need an Authorization Code identifying you as faculty, staff or student at Mitchell.
