Panopto is primarily used to record and store video content such as lectures, tutorials, video-assignments, screen recording or other video-based artifacts. Zoom recordings are also stored in Panopto. All Mitchell Hamline students, faculty, and staff have access to a Zoom Pro license, which allows for unlimited meetings without a time limit. Zoom is seamlessly integrated with Canvas and Panopto. Much of the content produced in this studio includes, but is not limited to, special course materials, guest lectures and promotional materials.<\/p>\n<a class=\"button button-appt\" href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/technology\/studio-reservation-request-form\/\" target=\"\">Studio Reservation Form&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/technology\/knowledge-base\/when-to-use-panopto-vs-zoom-vs-studio\/\">Learn when to use Zoom, Panopto, or a studio recording<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through collaboration with the Instructional Design Team, Academic Technology offers a host of creative services. We provide interactive content creation to staff and faculty to help create more immersive learning for courses, lectures, and programs. We use tools like the Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Storyline to create rich content for online learning. Contact your assigned instructional designer for further details.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure of who your instructional designer is, please contact <a href=\"mailto:ID@mitchellhamline.edu\"><i class=\"fa fa-envelope fa-3\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/i>ID@mitchellhamline.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"accordion-wrapper\">\n<ul class=\"accordion\">\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">COVID-19\u00a0 restrictions on use of the studio<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">\n<p>The studio is only reservable on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Only two individuals, one presenter and one ATS technician, may be in the studio at a time during set up for the video shoot. Both individuals are required to wear face covering and maintain social distancing to the best of their ability until filming begins. Once filming has begun, the presenter may remove their face covering for the duration of filming. The technician will also leave the studio once filming has begun, but can return at the presenter\u2019s request if there any technical issues.<\/p>\n<p>Academic Technology Services will review each studio reservation request individually to make sure that the proposed content is safe and appropriate to produce in our studio. In the event that the request does not meet one or both of those requirements, we will do our best to propose alternate solutions for producing the proposed content.<\/p>\n<p>Academic Technology Services will continue to update these policies moving forward, but they are currently in place until further notice. We help you use tools such as Zoom and Panopto to create new course content from your home or office.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Contact your assigned Acadmic Technology Services staff member for a training on the tools available to you. If you do not know who your assigned staff member is, contact <a href=\"mailto:ID@mitchellhamline.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\" data-ogsc=\"\"><i class=\"fa fa-envelope fa-3\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/i>ID@mitchellhamline.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Classroom technologies and HyFlex<\/h2>\n<p>Recent upgrades to many of our classrooms help to both improve in-person teaching and better facilitate HyFlex learning. These upgrades include dual cameras and ceiling microphones that allow for audio and video streaming of both the professor and the students attending in-person. This also includes dual monitors for the instructor\u2019s computer which allow for professors and presenters to have a full monitor dedicated to those attending remotely.
