The Dean of Students develops and implements policies and procedures that enhance student life; advances a student-centered culture; and ensures a climate supportive of students coming from diverse backgrounds. The Dean of Students provides academic advising to students, evaluates student service programs, facilitates accommodations for students with disabilities, and is the primary liaison to student organizations. The Dean of Students seeks to provide students with convenient service and information pertaining to all law school matters. As the Assistant Title IX Coordinator, the Dean of Students guides students who may have concerns about conduct that falls under the school’s Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy (Student Respondent) and Sex Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy (Student Respondent).
The Dean of Students works closely with the following offices: Admissions, Blended Learning, Office of the Registrar, Academic Excellence, Counseling Services, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Career and Professional Development, Financial Aid, and Student Accounts. The Dean collaborates with faculty before and after issues arise concerning students’ academic and emotional well-being.
