Law School
That Fits Your Life as a Mom

Prepared to deliver high-quality legal education—no matter what comes next

2020 has taught us to expect the unexpected. And with that, be prepared. When our traditional students were forced to move online last spring, they moved to a state-of-the-industry platform, and we had the experience, resources, and expertise to make it happen quickly.

  • The first half-online, half in-person blended learning J.D. in 2015
  • Conceptualized a significantly online legal education in 2010
  • Paved the way for more online opportunities for all law students
  • 1,500+ students enrolled, 589 graduates, 92% employment rate for the class of 2021
It was critically important for me to be able to earn … a JD and still be able to perform my role as an employee, as a mom, and a wife … There are not a lot of programs such as that, and … Mitchell Hamline … had everything that I needed.

Enrollment options to fit your life

Our students face many life changes during their three-to-four years of law school. When we say it’s law school that fits your life, we know that might mean something entirely different two years from now. Full time may fit one year where blended learning fits the other years. We can accommodate that. We continually shape our legal education to be relevant to you, your future clients, and the legal profession.

At Mitchell Hamline, especially, there is a strong sense of community. My advice for other moms considering law school: Just do it. A lot of people put it off, but just do it.

I work during the day and … I have a three-year-old daughter. And that requires a lot of my time. So by the time she’s ready to go to bed I’m ready to start all of my school work for the evening.

—Amber ’20

I chose Mitchell Hamline … because I have a full-time job that I love, and I have three children, and I did not want to miss out on work or my family,
