Director, Instructional Design and Development
Amanda Soderlind has worked as an instructional designer at Mitchell Hamline since 2018. As director of instructional design, Amanda oversees the instructional design team and coordinates aspects of course design, development, and training for all courses, in coordination with the Academic Technology team. Amanda has worked in the instructional design field since 2013 and has been in the field of education since 2007. Before becoming an instructional designer, she was a middle school biology teacher. Amanda enjoys working with faculty to make their courses engaging, inclusive, and easily accessible for all students. She graduated in 2007 with a degree in biology and education and earned her master’s degree in instructional design in 2015.
