Our mission is to broaden access to legal education, with programs designed for professionals seeking training in the law. Mitchell Hamline brings to bear the expertise of more than 50 faculty members on real-world problems facing business professionals today. Because we’re an independent law school, we can move quickly and tailor our training to the most timely and significant issues. We were the first law school in the country to adopt best practices in online education to allow students to earn an ABA-accredited, partly online and partly on-campus J.D. through our Hybrid Program, and it’s those practices that we’re adapting for professional legal education.
Our strong connections to the business community are anchored in our Center for Law and Business, one of seven centers and institutes at Mitchell Hamline designed to allow faculty and students to engage deeply with academics, policy, and practice on issues related to business, health, dispute resolution, child protection, Indian law, and intellectual property. Through our professional legal education programs, we’re channeling that broad expertise into high-quality, highly relevant training across a range of subjects for executives, business owners, attorneys, emerging leaders, and other professionals.
