• March 20: Admitted Student Day

  Admitted students are invited to get to know Mitchell Hamline’s faculty, staff, and students during this on campus event. Sessions will include a student panel, mock class, academic opportunities, and a keynote lunch. Guests of admitted students are also invited.

• March–May: Admitted Students 101

• June 3: Campus Connect Launch Party

  Admitted students and their guests are invited to join us on campus to meet your future Mitchell Hamline classmates, faculty, alumni, and staff. This will be a casual, fun opportunity to be introduced to the school and take a tour. This event is family-friendly, will feature food and games, and be held on our beautiful Summit Avenue front lawn from 5-7p.m.

• June and July: Campus Connect through Canvas

  Campus Connect is an online “course” hosted through Canvas. It provides incoming students with helpful contacts and links as you prepare for law school. This course will also be used throughout your time at Mitchell Hamline to send important announcements.

• August 5-8: JumpStart Pre-1L Program

  Register here!

  Entering students are invited to join their future Mitchell Hamline classmates for our JumpStart Pre-1L Program. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni will offer interactive sessions about:

  • Building community
  • The 1L experience
  • Wellbeing in law school
  • Developing and enhancing study skills
    The Academic Excellence team will share strategies for how to approach your courses and introduce critical reading, case briefing, and IRAC writing for exams.

  They will present everything from what happens in a law school classroom to what lawyers actually do in the world and a lot in between. JumpStart will be offered remote and synchronous via Zoom. All times Central.

• August 17: First Day of Fall Semester

  Week One for all on-campus semester 1 students will be held on campus from Monday-Friday, August 18-22, 2025.

  Week One (Prep Week) for all Blended-learning semester 1 students will be held on campus from Monday–Saturday, August 18–23, 2025.

• August 18: All-School Welcome Picnic

  Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to a welcome picnic on the front lawn from 4-6p.m.

• August 20: Student Organization Fair

  Meet student organization leaders as you browse through all the different ways to get involved on campus. Held from 4-7p.m.

• August–December: Legal Methods Student Leader Workshop Series

  Fall 2025 Legal Methods Student Leaders are looking forward to presenting this fall’s workshop series for 1L students.
