Adjunct/Affiliated Professor
Dean Raths received his B.A. in history and social science from Southern Methodist University and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. Following law school, he clerked for Justices Sandra Gardebring and Paul Anderson on the Minnesota Court of Appeals. In his legal career, he has blended a legal practice and teaching law. In his law practice, he specializes in estate planning. At William Mitchell College of Law, he taught legal writing and research, bar preparation strategies, torts, and legal reasoning. Between 2014 to 2018 he was the co-director of the Mitchell Hamline School of Law Lawyering course (the predecessor of LARC) and inaugurated its Blended Writing and Research program.
