Executive Director (retired), Minnesota Council of Health Plans
is a retired health care executive, having served as the President and CEO of the Minnesota Council of Health Plan from 2003-2015. Brunner also held leadership positions in State and County government during her career. Her experience includes Deputy Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Health, Assistant Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Ramsey County Attorney’s office and County Administrator for St.Louis County. Brunner received her JD from the University of Minnesota in 1980 and has been active in State and National health and human service organizations. She currently does consulting on a variety of health issues and serves on the board of directors for four community nonprofit organizations.
