Assistant Dean, Academic Affairs
Kelly Von Ruden has over 15 years of experience in higher education. her expertise is in streamlining academic policies and procedures. before her role as assistant dean of academic affairs, she oversaw all the logistical pieces of the blended learning program at Mitchell Hamline. She previously worked at Metropolitan State as a judicial officer, where she played an integral role in implementing the new Title IX policy and developing a new online complaint and conduct process. Her career in higher education started at Capella University as an academic associate. She earned her master’s degree from St. Kate’s University in organizational leadership and the Dispute Resolution Certificate from Hamline University. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Marquette University. She has a passion for helping individuals achieve their educational goals. Kelly believes in a holistic advising approach by developing authentic relationships with students.
