Rick Petry stands at the intersection of law, human peak performance, business, and neuro health as an adjunct/affiliated professor and director of the Office of Culture and Inclusion at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Rick has nearly 30 years of combined experience in legal education and the legal industry. That experience includes previously serving clients for 17 years as a trial attorney in criminal and civil litigation matters. He now serves law students, faculty, and staff members in his roles at Mitchell Hamline. Rick teaches courses on torts, advanced litigation skills, the Expert Witness Academy, and other topics, and he also serves lawyers as an executive coach.
Rick’s impact on the global stage is marked by serving as a faculty member with Professional Advanced Legal Studies (PALS) Global. He also serves as an affiliated professor, teaching comparative international criminal law in collaboration with the University of Greenwich. In these roles he has engaged with lawyers, law students, executives, and entrepreneurs around the globe, imparting wisdom and practical skills to enhance their professional and personal lives. Guided by a deep-seated philosophy that leadership is a privilege accompanied by the duty of care, Rick approaches his roles with a commitment to quality and compassion. His aim is to instill lasting positive change, guiding students to not only thrive in their careers but also to lead richer, more balanced, and fulfilled lives.
