Non-federal Loan Comparison Tool FASTCHOICE
Both federal and private loans are available for students at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. We provide a list of alternative lenders and loans for students through the web location FastChoice. You are not limited to the lenders shown in FastChoice, and are not obligated to accept any offered loan.
Federal student loans offer eligible students loan amounts that can meet total costs. But federal loans may not always be the best choice for an individual student, and international students cannot qualify for federal loans.
Non-federal loans can replace federal loan eligibility to pay for tuition, fees and expenses when federal loans are not available.
Generally, non-federal alternative loans are credit based, and have interest rates and fees that are lender specific. Lenders may provide better interest rates for students who have a credit worthy co-signer, or the loan offer may require a credit worthy co-signer. It’s important to compare lenders, loans and their individual terms.
