Transferring to Mitchell Hamline from another law school? Your federal aid can be continued here by adding our FAFSA code, G02391 to your current FAFSA. When we receive your FAFSA, and your admission has been confirmed, we’ll email you to guide you through any remaining processing to receive aid here.
If you are new to the financial aid process, you can access federal aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year you expect to receive financial aid. FAFSAs are being processed for the upcoming school year, 2020-21.
Step 1: Gather information
Gather your income, asset, and tax information. File your 2017 Federal Tax form, and authorize the information be transferred to the FAFSA: see step 2!
Step 2: File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Our Federal FAFSA School Code is G02391.
Each year’s FAFSA application collects previous tax year information to determine the types of aid you are eligible to receive. The total amount of aid is determined by your tuition and our estimate of additional expenses.
Use your Federal Student Aid Identification to electronically sign your FAFSA application for faster, more accurate processing.
Step 3: Review Your Student Aid Report
Visit the Mitchell Hamline Online Financial Aid Portal to review and accept the aid you want processed.
The total amount of offered aid is based on the tuition and fee cost for your anticipated enrollment level
and an estimated living expense budget. Details are available in the portal.
