Ameena Langford is an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she teaches Bar Preparation Strategies and works with students through the school’s Academic Excellence program. She is passionate about helping students strengthen their legal writing, analytical skills, and confidence as they prepare for law school exams, the bar exam, and legal practice.
Before becoming an attorney, Ameena spent more than 20 years as a tax professional, business owner, and manager. That experience informs both her teaching and her legal practice, allowing her to connect legal doctrine with the practical financial and business issues clients and attorneys encounter in the real world.
Ameena graduated summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline after pursuing a lifelong goal of becoming an attorney. She currently practices with Hera Law Group in Massachusetts, where her work focuses primarily on family law and estate planning. She is also pursuing an LL.M. in Estate Planning and Elder Law at Western New England University School of Law.
As the parent of a neurodivergent child, Ameena brings a personal understanding of advocacy, communication, and the importance of approaching legal problems with clarity and empathy. She views teaching as an extension of that advocacy and is particularly committed to mentoring students whose paths to the legal profession may not have been traditional.
