Jessica Willes’ path has always been nontraditional. She started law school in January 2015 as part of the first cohort of Mitchell Hamline’s blended-learning program. She had a full-time job as a commercial underwriter for a title insurance company and three kids, the youngest being only five months old when she started. Jessica graduated in spring of 2018 and started working at Winthrop & Weinstine a few weeks later. She has been there ever since, practicing in the real estate group. Initially her focus was on tax credit transactions, and she has since moved her practice into more general commercial real estate.
