Judge, Second Judical District of Minnesota
Judge Aligada represented individuals at all stages of federal criminal cases in U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit at the Office of the Federal Defender. He was an attorney at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi. He clerked for Judge Michael J. Davis at the United States District Court and Judge Wilhelmina M. Wright at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. On May 19, 2026, Judge Aligada was appointed to serve as an associate justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court. He is expected to begin his service on October 1, 2026.
