Abby J. Schnedler, LMFT is licensed marriage and family therapist. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Augsburg College and her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Northwestern University. She has been committed to the mental health and wellbeing of children, adults, adolescents, families, and couples since 2007. Abby is deeply connected to working with populations within higher education, most recently supporting the mental health of undergraduate and graduate students at Augsburg University. Social justice, antiracism, and cultural humility are essential parts of her practice with clients. Abby is a relational therapist and feels that it is most important to establish a sense of trust and empathy with clients in order for therapeutic growth to occur. Abby’s therapeutic interests are general but she is well versed in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, family of origin issues, boundary issues, and constraints stemming from institutional and systemic racism and discrimination.
