Dean Raths received his B.A. from Southern Methodist University and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. Following law school, he clerked for Justices Sandra Gardebring and Paul Anderson on the Minnesota Court of Appeals. In his law practice, he specializes in estate planning. At William Mitchell College of Law, he taught legal writing and research, bar preparation strategies, and legal reasoning. Between 2014 to 2018 he was the co-director of the Mitchell Hamline School of Law Lawyering program and inaugurated its Hybrid Lawyering course.
