Statewide Pro Bono Coordinator, New Mexico Legal Aid
Professor Mayfield is a 2019 graduate of Mitchell Hamline’s Hybrid J.D. program. She has a master of arts in Christian Ministry from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary and a bachelor of arts in English from California State University, Fresno. She spent twelve years working in higher education in various roles such as adjunct professor, academic advisor, and student staff supervisor. She also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for two years advocating for foster children. She clerked for a real estate attorney where she gained valuable experience in transactional and litigation matters involving probate, ownership transfers and disputes, construction defects, breach of contract, and commercial leases. She currently serves as the Statewide Pro Bono Coordinator for New Mexico Legal Aid’s Volunteer Attorney Program.
