Chief Judge, Lower Sioux Tribal Court
Michael Harralson currently serves as Chief Trial Judge for the Lower Sioux Indian Community. Additionally, he is a Deputy Judge for the Leech Lakes Band of Ojibwe and Associate Justice for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Supreme Court. Prior to becoming a Tribal Court judge, Judge Harralson was a Human Services Judge, holding fair hearings for the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Judge Harralson is also an avid runner and founded ReNew Earth Running, a nonprofit that uses running as a platform to advocate for and fundraise to support Indigenous land stewardship. He also proudly served on the State Emblems Redesign Commission and helped select the new Minnesota state flag and seal.
