Assistant Vice President, Privacy and Ethics Officer, Prime Therapeutics
As the Assistant Vice President, Privacy and Ethics Officer, at Prime Therapeutics LLC (Prime), a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) serving more than 26 million members, Sheri Beck is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the privacy compliance program including Prime’s compliance policies and procedures to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy regulations. Beck also leads the company’s large incident response preparedness efforts. Beck brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate law and compliance to Prime. During that time she has built a career at successfully counseling management on effective ways to maneuver in highly regulated industries and assisting businesses to comply with strict regulatory schemes. Prior to joining Prime, Beck held leadership roles at Bloom Health, Ameriprise Financial Services and American Express Financial Advisors. Most recently at Bloom Health, she served as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer leading all legal and regulatory compliance functions. She developed and led a cross-organizational team responsible for implementing the compliance strategy and chaired the Corporate Compliance Committee serving as a liaison to the corporate board of directors. At Ameriprise, Beck led the compliance and privacy functions for the Retirement Strategies Group and drove the strategy surrounding integration of all legislative and regulatory actions related to the company’s retirement products and services. As Associate Counsel at American Express Financial Advisors, Beck had responsibility for securities law and compliance. Beck received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and graduated magna cum laude from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
