Vonda Brown is a graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University, with honors. She was a member of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review, a graduate teaching assistant, and clerked for the First Court of Appeals and the Office of the Texas Attorney General. She worked as an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) for the state of Texas, starting in 2016. She travelled the state as an attorney trainer, training new AAGs to effectively represent the interests of the Texas Office of the Attorney General in child support matters. She joined the ACLU of Minnesota as a staff attorney in 2022.
