Partner, Bowman & Brooke
Bill Childs is a partner at Bowman & Brooke. He was most recently assistant general counsel for litigation at 3M and its healthcare spinoff, where he oversaw a wide range of litigation matters. He previously spent 12 years in private practice at Williams & Connolly and Bowman & Brooke. He was on the full-time faculty at Western New England University School of Law for eight years, serving as professor of law and associate dean for external affairs. He taught Torts, Products Liability, and other courses, and published in a range of areas, including the intersection of law and science. He recently published the casebook for the Recreation & Risk course.
He graduated from Macalester College and the University of Texas School of Law with high honors. In addition to his legal career, he produces and hosts a radio show for kids and their grownups (sparetherock.com) and owns a related record label that has generated over $200,000 in donations to It Gets Better, the Haitian People’s Support Project, and Girls Inc.
