Midterms are almost here. Want to have a little fun studying? We’ve got a study aid for that!
Study aids are used to help you enhance your understanding of concepts taught in the classroom. While your notes and professor’s explanations should always be your primary source of information, study aids can help supplement your understanding and help you test your knowledge. Where can you find them? The Library, of course!
This week we are highlighting the Short & Happy Guides series.
What is the “Short & Happy Guides” series?
The Short & Happy Guides series are study aids that provide a concise (aka “Short”) overview of fundamental aspects of the law, but present the information in an accessible, somewhat quirky manner (aka “Happy”).
Short & Happy titles generally address material covered in typical law school courses. They are also good at tying in humor while making difficult subject matter accessible and easy to remember.
The Library has Short & Happy titles available in print!
The newest print editions are available in the Library’s Reserve Collection. To check one of these out, just ask at the Circulation Desk. All reserve copies are available for 2-hour check outs. Older editions, located in the Lower Level stacks, can be checked out for longer. If you would like help finding a copy, or would like to check one out remotely, don’t hesitate to ask! Email circulation@mitchellhamline.edu for more information.
