Minnesota Lawyer announced its Top Women in Law for 2024, recognizing 40 women for their leadership and achievements in Minnesota’s legal community. One honoree is Mitchell Hamline Professor Natalie Netzel ’15, who has been at the forefront of the conversation about well-being in the legal profession and law schools.
Netzel, currently serving as director of Mitchell Hamline’s nationally recognized clinical education program, has done significant work teaching resilience, mutual care, and trauma-informed lawyering to law students and lawyers. She was heavily involved in the law school establishing its wellness center in support of these values in 2022. Outside Mitchell Hamline, Netzel is involved with the American Association of Law Schools’ Section on Balance and Well-Being in Legal Education and the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Well-Being Committee. She also recently joined the board of directors for Minnesota Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.
