Women of Color in the Law Forum
On the evening of August 28th, please join us at the Hennepin Theater Trust (900 Hennepin Avenue) for an event focused on women of color, building community and lifting each other up.
This event is a collaboration between Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Hmong American Bar Association, MN American Indian Bar Association, MN Asian Pacific American Bar Association, MN Association of Black Lawyers and the MN Lavender Bar Association. We welcome women, gender non-binary, transgender people and allies to join us.
This August 28th event has been coordinated in follow-up to the successful Annual Women of Color in the Law Forum, which has been held each winter for the past 5 years. Inspired by the leadership of Loan Huynh, a Shareholder at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. and Cynthia Lee, Counsel at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, who are the founders of the Annual Women of Color in the Law Forum, this subsequent event has been coordinated to provide another opportunity for the community to come together on an important topic of interest. Look for more information about the Annual Women of Color in the Law Forum to be scheduled later this Fall/Winter.
This event is free. Feel free to circulate the invitation below to colleagues and friends.
Registration: 3:30 p.m.
Program: 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Reception: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We are pleased to welcome Kristin Haugen who will lead our Women of Color in the Law Forum workshop, entitled “Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: How to Identify It & Build Resilience.” Kristin is an attorney at KC Haugen Law and founder of Rock Solid Consultants. Kristin’s clients include entrepreneurs and emerging companies for whom she serves as outside general counsel. In addition to business law and counseling, Kristin frequently advises on trademarks and licensing. Through Rock Solid Consultants, Kristin provides group training and one-on-one coaching on leadership and culture, business development and practice management. Kristin frequently speaks to organizations about implicit bias, diversity and inclusion.
Please register by Monday, August 26th using the link above. If you have any questions about registration, please contact Hannah at hzuercher@mwlawyers.org.
