Deadline Extended for Jessup International Law Moot Court competition!
Jessup is the world’s largest moot court competition, with participants from roughly 700 law schools in 100 countries and jurisdictions. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice.
To apply, please submit the following to student captain Andjelka Radevic, as soon as possible:
– Your current resume.
– A sample of your writing, written by you without review by others. You can choose which writing sample to use, but keep in mind you will be making a presentation of it for the tryout. Most writing samples submitted are about 8-10 pages in length.
– Three choices you’ve made, ranked in order of preference within the time blocks below, for a 20-minute time slot for your tryout. (Time slots should start on the hour, or at the 20-minute or 40-minute marker within the relevant hour.)
Tryouts can be scheduled during the following time blocks (you can freely choose among the days and time blocks for your three preferred 20-minute time slots, but please be sure to include three 20-minute preferred time slots):
Tuesday, September 17: 12:00-4:00 p.m and 6:00-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 18: 12:30-5:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 19: 4:30-8:30 p.m.
Tryouts will largely consist of an 8-10 minute oral presentation, based on your writing sample, during which you will receive questions concerning the subject you are presenting.
Please contact Andjelka at the e-mail address above with any questions.
