Anyone else feel like time sped up ever since the pandemic began? It seems as if there are never enough hours in a day! Unfortunately, when forced to choose between school or work tasks, self-care is always the first to go.
Take some time out your day for a self-care activity. An article from Psychology Today suggests activities such as: cuddling with a pet, going on a walk, painting your nails, taking a bath, and much more. Link to article here.
While you are doing this activity, be mindful of your thoughts. Often when I take time for myself, I feel a sense of shame. I call them the “shoulds”. I think, “what other work should I be doing right now?” If you feel yourself slipping into this mindset, remind yourself that YOU ARE deserving of self-care. Have fun and good luck!!
