Taking Up Space: Wednesday, April 14, 5:30-7:00 PM (CT)
The Asian Pacific American Law Student Associations from Mitchell Hamline, St. Thomas, and the University of Minnesota in collaboration with The Binger Center will be hosting Sun Yung Shin, an acclaimed poet, Professor Jigna Desai, a gender, sexuality, and Asian-American history scholar, and Nick Kor, Senior Manager of Movement Building at CAAL, to discuss the recent rise in anti-Asian hate crimes and how Asians can fit into the movement for equity and racial justice.
Join fellow law school students in this safe place as we engage in discussion regarding hate crimes, how to heal as a community, and ways to engage in ongoing racial justice work.
