1L Summer Law Clerk
Duties and Responsibilities:
All duties are carried out under the supervision of Assistant Ramsey County Attorneys. Duties include appearing on behalf of the Ramsey County Attorney in court proceedings, performing legal research and writing, interviewing witnesses, assisting attorneys in case preparations, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Law student completing second semester/1st year of law school. (Student will have completed second year of law school in good standing and eligible to become a certified student attorney at beginning of 2022 summer law clerk program.)
Location:
Depending on assignment and the pandemic, position could include remote work, in-person work, or both; travel may be required to and from the office or court.
Semester (if applicable):
Summer (Some selected students may be offered to continue part-time through the academic year)
Hours:
40 hours per week, 8 hours per day for 10 weeks (anticipated start is June 6, 2022)
Compensation:
$20.37 per hour (paid bi-weekly)
