Associate Teaching Professor
Laura Brooks is an associate teaching professor with the Office of Academic Excellence. Professor Brooks teaches a variety of classes, including Legal Methods and Bar Prep Strategies. She has been with Mitchell Hamline since 2015 as an adjunct professor in Torts, Constitutional Criminal Procedure, and Legal Analysis, Research, and Communication.
Professor Brooks derives pleasure from helping students achieve their fullest potential. She has held several tutoring and mentoring positions in both her academic and professional life. During her college years, she worked as a tutor to undergraduate students in both English and economics. After law school and during her practice of law, she continued her work with students, serving as a tutor to Mitchell Hamline students in all substantive areas of law. Professor Brooks is passionate about serving underrepresented communities and volunteers as a teacher for the Minnesota Literacy Council.
