Melissa Wright counsels on transaction matters across the Smithsonian’s 21 museums, libraries, the National Zoo, numerous research centers, and several education units and centers. Prior to joining the Smithsonian’s Office of the General Counsel, Melissa held various positions at Twin Cities PBS, including chief content officer and general counsel. In 2014, Melissa returned to her alma mater, then William Mitchell College of Law, to work in career development and served as the law school’s inaugural director of externships. Her previous positions include senior counsel at Wells Fargo and assistant attorney general at the Minnesota State Attorney General’s Office. She is a member of the D.C. Korean American Bar Association.
