Jen Randolph Reise is a securities and corporate governance attorney by training. Before moving to teaching full-time in 2018, she was in private practice at a leading Minneapolis firm and then in-house as SEC and compliance counsel at a public company.
She is currently a Visiting Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, teaching Introduction to Business Organizations and other business law courses. She is especially interested in innovation in the practice and teaching of law, capitalism and regulatory design, and ensuring that law students graduate with practical and business skills.
A proud graduate of Hamline University School of Law, one of Mitchell Hamline’s predecessor schools, Jen was president of the Hamline Law Alumni Board and co-president of the combined boards through the combination with William Mitchell School of Law. She earned the Recent Alumni Award in 2017 for her contributions to Mitchell Hamline, her community, and the legal profession in the decade after she graduated.
Jen is also an entrepreneur, and has founded a tech-ed startup called JD Navigator (www.JDNavigator.com) to help lawyers, law students, and prospective law students chart their course: that is, to get the information they need to make the career decisions that are right for them.
