Tim Grathwol joined Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner in 2013. Prior to joining Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, he was a patent attorney at Shumaker & Sieffert, P.A. and previous to joining Shumaker & Sieffert, Tim was an associate with the Minneapolis law firm of Kinney & Lange.
While completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota, Tim worked as an intern developing custom manufacturing automation equipment at a precision plastic injection molding company. He also received an undergraduate research scholarship for modeling cooling effects on film cooled turbine blades. Before attending law school, Tim worked for several enterprise software companies. Tim participated in the 2004–2005 Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition while attending William Mitchell and won the Dolores K. Hannah National Best Brief Award.
