Managing partner, Lehmann Law Office
Walter Lehmann is managing partner of Lehmann PLC (formerly Lehmann Strobel PC). With over 20 years of experience as an attorney and business consultant, Lehmann has represented independent producers, artists, and writers as well as museums and nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. He has served on the board of directors of several nonprofits, including Landis Valley Museum Associates and the North Museum of Natural History and Science, where he also served as interim curator of collections. Lehmann was also a member of the Walters Art Museum Collections Committee.
A regular contributor to scholarly and industry publications, Lehmann participates in conferences, workshops, and presentations as well as teaching graduate and undergraduate courses on art and museum law at Johns Hopkins University and George Washington University. He has served on the faculty of the ALI Legal Issues in Museum Administration CLE course and is vice chair of the ABA–IPL Copyright Policy Committee. Lehmann is licensed in Minnesota and Maryland.
