This summer, the Center for Law and Business made history—leading the first-ever U.S. law school study abroad in Kosovo, Europe’s youngest nation. Over two unforgettable weeks, students dove into topics of transitional justice and economic development with our host, the University of Pristina, and connected with professors and peers at the University of Mitrovica and the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj. The MHSL attendees met Supreme Court justices, explored cities rich with centuries of religious and ethnic tolerance, and visited both Muslim and Serbian Orthodox Christian sites. We returned, with fresh insight into Kosovo’s justice system and the work of building a new nation.
