The initial consultation is free. A $25 fee is charged for each subsequent visit. The remaining expense is covered by Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Seminars and workshops are provided free to students. The school allows a maximum of 10 in person, on campus counseling sessions throughout the law school years.
Hours of Operation
Counseling is available a variety of days and times. Counseling Services makes an effort to accommodate your scheduling needs. Call 651-290-8656 or email kathy.connolly @mitchellhamline.edu to schedule an appointment. Please list some days and times when you are available. A counselor will contact you to schedule a time or to answer any questions you may have.
Students requesting counseling services outside of Minnesota should contact Kathy Connolly at 651-290-8656 or firstname.lastname@example.org for a consult or referral.
Counseling Services is located on the lower level of the LEC building on the west side of campus.
Counseling Services does not provide emergency services. If you have a mental health emergency or need immediate assistance for a peer, call Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL) 24-hour hotline at 651-646-5590 or Crisis Connection at 612-379-6363. You may also go to your local Emergency Room. In Ramsey County you may call 651-266-7900. In Hennepin County you may call 612-596-1223.
