Little is known about Lee B. Byard. After graduating from Harvard University Law School in 1909, he spent his entire professional career in Minneapolis. He was president of the Hennepin County Bar Association in 1932 and the Minnesota State Bar Association in 1936. He was dean of the YMCA College of Law from 1922 to 1932.
