The Minnesota Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case of Leslie v. Emerson in the Mitchell Hamline Auditorium, Oct. 13, 2016.
The case will be heard from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. A question and answer session will be held with the Justices after the arguments. A dessert reception will follow.

The newest member of the state Supreme Court is Mitchell Hamline alum Justice Anne McKeig ’92. McKeig was sworn-in as the court’s 94th associate justice in September. A descendant of the White Earth Ojibwe, she is the first American Indian to serve on Minnesota’s highest court. In addition, McKeig is the first American Indian woman in the country to serve on any state’s highest court.
